Nanaimo has two disc golf courses that are open to the public, each with unique charm, beauty, and challenges. Both of Nanaimo’s disc golf courses are very cart friendly and have on-site amenities.
Bowen Park Disc Golf Course
500 Bowen Road
Bowen Park is home to Nanaimo’s most popular disc golf course, which is free and open to the public every day of the year. The par 54 course starts at a large, introductory sign that’s located across from the main complex building, near Bowen Road.
Bowen Park’s 18-hole course has two sets of tees, including standard and alternate baskets. It’s a relatively flat, short course that meanders around numerous park facilities, including buildings, gardens, and sports courts. Bowen Park’s disc golf course requires a variety of technical shots that make the round challenging yet fun for all experience levels.
Bowen Park is managed and maintained by the City of Nanaimo, with some basic amenities. Water taps are located throughout the park, there are garbage cans on holes 1, 4, 5, and 10, and washrooms can be found within the main complex.
Pryde Vista Disc Golf Course

Pryde Vista Golf Course is a has an 18-hole, par 58 disc golf course with a single set of baskets. Pryde Vista utilizes both flat and hilly landscaping to create a lovely course that’s diverse and entertaining. Pryde Vista Golf Course’s water hazards add extra excitement to several holes.
The clubhouse at Pryde Vista has washrooms, as well as drinks and small snacks for purchase. The friendly on-site team can help orient players who are new to the course and provide helpful tips.
Pryde Vista is a private course that charges $10 for the first round and $5 for a second round. All disc golfers are required to make a tee time by calling 250-753-6188, although last-minute bookings are often available.
