Tourism Nanaimo 2009 Travel Planner and Accommodation Guide

Tourism Nanaimo is dedicated to keeping up with the ever changing industry trends and creating the best publications possible. It is with this in mind that we will be replacing the annual Tourism Nanaimo Visitors Guide with two separate and distinct publications.

  • The Travel Planner and Accommodation Guide
  • Attractions and Map Guide

With a circulation of 60,000, the Travel Planner and Accommodation Guide will be used to promote Nanaimo externally and help visitors plan their trip.  This guide will be distributed at trade shows and media events (3,000 copies), mailed in response to phone and web inquiries (3,000 copies), distributed to visitors at visitor centers throughout BC (22,000 copies), at the Nanaimo Info Centre (6,000 copies) and our summer BC Ferry kiosks (6,000 copies), as well as year round on the BC Ferries Route 1 (20,000 copies).

This 8.5” x 11”, full colour, glossy, professionally produced guide will be user friendly.  The Travel Planner and Accommodation Guide will provide a valuable resource for the visitor that includes an introduction to Nanaimo through the editorial information and vibrant imagery, as well as advertisements for accommodation, transportation, and real estate development.

The Travel Planner and Accommodations Guide will also be displayed online at www.tourismnanaimo.com.  The interactive page-turning technology allows viewers to access an enhanced version of your ad with the option to visit your website with only a click.  Visited by more than 500 individuals per day, this popular site generates upwards of 1800 email inquiries annually, a number that continues to grow.
