Our travel specialists at Destination Nanaimo (a division of the City of Nanaimo) and Tourism Nanaimo work closely together to develop lasting positive relationships with local, regional and international media. We are able to provide assistance in a number of areas:

We require the following information to help us fulfill requests to host visiting journalists:

Our Guidelines:

  • Four weeks notice of visits requiring assistance with accommodation and attraction passes or discounts
  • Tentative arrival and departure dates
  • Submission of the Media Profile Form
  • A letter of assignment on the publication’s letterhead and a recent copy of the publication, and/or clippings of at least two recently published travel-related works
  • Information on any accommodation preferences
  • Any special dietary needs or other requests
