The City of Nanaimo and Tourism Nanaimo work together to help meeting planners, event organizers and local members of regional, provincial, and national organizations host a successful event in Nanaimo.

To help you secure an event in Nanaimo, the City of Nanaimo will:
- Research availability of accommodation and facilities to best suit your group's needs
- Co-ordinate site visits so that decision makers can experience our facilities first-hand
- Assemble bid packages that address your meeting or event requirements
- Assist local host committees with presentations for your organization's decision makers
- Arrange official invitational letters from the Mayor and other organizations as required for bid proposals
- Recommend off-site venues for receptions, banquets, meetings and events
