Nanaimo feels like home to visitors because it has all the services and amenities people need. Whether you're looking for automotive repair, banking, or real estate advice, this city has a wide variety of service choices to complement its tourism charm. Many of Nanaimo's commercial centres are located along Island Highway 19A. These centres offer the city's greatest variety of retail and service destinations. There are dozens of developments along the highway, including Longwood Station, Southgate Plaza, Brooks Landing, and Terminal Park. Other important districts include Departure Bay and Harewood, located east and west of Highway 19, respectively.
